Estoril Open returns to ATP circuit in 2026 with new date

Next year, the main Portuguese tennis tournament will be played between July 20 and 26.

The Estoril Open will return to the ATP circuit in 2026. However, for the first time, it will be played in July.

According to the calendar published by the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) yesterday, the Estoril Open will return to the leading men’s tennis circuit next year after being relegated to the challenger category this year.

In 2026, the Estoril Open will resume its ATP 250 category tournament and will be played between July 20 and 26, occupying a different space than usual in the sport’s schedule.

The Estoril Open joined the ATP circuit in 1990, having been held between that year and 2014 at the Jamor Sports Complex in Oeiras. In 2015, it was relocated to the Estoril Tennis Club with a different organisation.

This year, the event will take place between April 26 and May 4 and will be an ATP Challenger 175, the highest level of the circuit’s second tier.
