EU funding to back university investments in Algarve

European funding allocated to the Algarve 2030 programme will support the creation, expansion, and modernisation of University of Algarve (UAlg) facilities in Faro and Portimão.

Projects to be supported – totalling €6 million, with EU funds covering 60% – include a new building at the Portimão campus, a new Digital Building at the Gambelas campus in Faro, and updated equipment at the School of Education and Communication at the Penha campus.

UAlg is invited to submit proposals to benefit from the funding until June 30, 2025, says the regional development commission (CCDR Algarve).
