Europe increases number of parliamentary seats, but none available to Portugal

The European Parliament will have 15 more seats after the European elections in June next year, but none will be available to Portugal due to the small size of this country’s population. The Portuguese government has accepted the decision, but not without some criticism. Explains Expresso, the government believes there should be only 11 new seats, saving the rest forfuture enlargements’ of the bloc.
