“Everyone over age of 60” encouraged to roll up sleeves for autumn vaccinations

Every day now there is a soundbite or other on the ‘rise of Covid-19 infections’; even on the ‘rise of deaths’ from the virus. Today, health minister Manuel Pizarro has stressed that “what we want is everyone over the age of 60 to get vaccinated against Covid-19 and the flu. I have a lot of confidence in the good sense that the Portuguese have always shown in this matter,” he added, repeating that these shots will be offered, free of charge, from September 29 in a “greatly increased number of vaccination points” (including “most pharmacies”).
