Évora University to open degree in aerospace engineering

The University of Évora (UÉ) is to open a degree in Aerospace Engineering next academic year to enhance its training offer and help establish the region as a centre of excellence in the field. The new course represents “not only an achievement for the institution, but also for the Alentejo region”, said rector Hermínia Vasconcelos Vilar. According to the institution, the Aerospace Engineering degree has been accredited by the Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation Agency (A3ES) for six years and will start operating in the 2025/26 academic year. It follows the creation of Évora’s CEiiA (centre of engineering and product development) in 2020, which began work on Portugal’s first completely national airplane.
