‘Fado Com História’, a cultural association committed to promoting Fado music, will open its headquarters in Tavira on Friday (December 5).
The new centre will be located near the Misericórdia church on Rua Damião Augusto de Brito Vasconcelos.
To mark the occasion, there will be a ceremony to be attended by Tavira mayor Jorge Botelho and other regional representatives, followed by a ‘gala event’ later in the evening in which “some of the best Fado singers of the Algarve”, including Sara Gonçalves, Raquel Peters, Teresa Viola and Pedro Viola, will be performing. Tickets for the gala cost €8.
