More than a month after the landslide that killed two young people as they slept in a back bedroom of a family home in Esposende, three of the eight families evacuated have been allowed to return to their properties. The other five families still have to await the results of technical surveys to ensure there are no further risks of subsidence. Experts are still evaluating whether or not this tragedy could have been avoided.
