Farmers schedule protests against extinction of regional boards

With controversy now swirling over the competence of Agriculture minister Maria do Céu Antunes (see main menu), farmers and producers have scheduled protests to take to the streets over the extinction of regional boards of agriculture, and the overall approach by this government to agriculture and forestry policies. Mobilisation, powered by CAP (the confederation of Portuguese agriculture) will begin in Mirandela on January 26 and means to “spread to the whole country”.
