Glamping tents will be open for reservations between March and November
The municipal campsite of Faro at Praia de Faro has unveiled 10 new glamping tents, a style of camping that combines the experience of being out in the wild with more amenities than traditional camping.
The new glamping tents are located on a 1,100 square metre plot which has been allocated to private company Domo Camp, Lda, following a public auction.
Says Faro municipal council in a statement, “these tents feature single or double beds, wooden terraces with shading sails in front of the tent overlooking the Ria Formosa, a lounge area with outdoor table and benches or sun loungers, lighting, bedside tables, electricity, fan, and mini-fridge or code-lock safe, among other amenities.”
It adds: “These features promise a camping experience with all the necessary comfort in the heart of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, just a few meters from the beach”.
