Faro Council is donating €8,000 to local animal charities in order to help them face the effects of the coronavirus pandemic which it says has led to an increase in the number of abandoned animals in the borough.
The money will be distributed equally among Associação Animais de Rua, Movimento Pró Animal de Faro, Associação Gatos de Jardim and PRAVI.
