Faro Council has announced the launch of a €2.2 million public tender for the construction of a social housing building with 22 apartments on Rua Ludovico Menezes, near the João de Deus secondary school.
The apartments will be attributed to families facing financial difficulties or precarious situations, the council says.
Construction is expected to last 560 days.
