The municipal museum of Faro welcomed a record 38,233 visitors in 2023, with increases in both national and foreign visitors compared to the previous record set in 2019 (36,516).
“The museum continues to welcome many visitors, a sign that cultural tourism can be successful in the town,” said the museum’s director, Marco António Lopes, adding that more exhibitions and events are planned for 2024.
