Faro bikers rally attracts thousands from all over the world
Faro is preparing to host the 42nd edition of its iconic bike rally between Thursday and Sunday (July 18-22).
Held at Vale das Almas, the event attracts thousands of bikers from all around the world every summer with its selection of concerts, motorbike exhibitions and street entertainment.
Australian rock band Wolfmother, whose self-titled debut album sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide, is among the headlining acts this year, alongside British Lion, formed by Steve Harris, bassist for iconic British metal band Iron Maiden, and The Raven Age, which features Steve Harris’ son, George Harris. Popular Portuguese rock acts such as Tara Perdida and Iris will also take the stage this year.
Another highlight of the event is the bikers’ parade, which is held on the last day of every rally and sees participants driving their bikes through Faro.
