Faro’s Municipal Swimming Pools (PMF) reopen to the public tomorrow, October 3rd. Swimming pool users will enjoy new and better conditions thanks to the installation of new equipment, namely a Jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath, which will complement the services provided. These were installed during the pandemic to provide the PMF with a wider range of activities.
However, users should be alerted to the fact that the facility’s showers cannot be used for the time being due to a malfunction, which the municipality hopes to resolve quickly.
The Municipal Swimming Pools were closed in August and September, in compliance with a decision of the Intermunicipal Community of the Algarve approved by the sixteen Algarve municipalities on July 15, as a result of the drought scenario that affects the region and which, in some cases, is extreme.
