Fatal accident

A 38-year-old man died in a car accident last Sunday after the vehicle he was a passenger in crashed into a tree in the Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo area, near Tavira. The driver – who escaped with injuries – is believed to have lost control of the car while travelling on a road “in poor condition, with lots of bends”, leading to the A22 highway. He was later treated in Faro Hospital. Both victims are Portuguese and live in the area.
