First team starts work solely dedicated to A&E

Around 300 medical professionals in Lisbon’s São José hospital have started work as the first CRISU in the country (CRISU standing for centre for integrated responses in casualty services). The team involves doctors, nurses, diagnostic technicians and therapists. It began working at São José’s ULS (Local health Unit) on June 17, the understanding being that other CRISUs in other areas will follow.
