‘For the Animals’ aims to highlight “harsh realities of factory farming”
Project 1882, an animal advocacy organisation which aims to shed light on the situation of animals confined within Europe’s factory farms and raise awareness among both EU citizens and policymakers, is bringing its mobile exhibition ‘For the Animals’ to Portugal.
“Since 1882, Project 1882 has been working to make a difference for the animals that are the most exploited and suffer the worst. With “For the Animals”, we are taking the next step forward to elevate animal rights issues higher on the EU Commission’s agenda,” the organisation says on its website.
“This interactive exhibition highlights the harsh realities of factory farming and urges stronger EU legislation for animal welfare,” it adds.
The exhibition’s tour started on June 6, 2024, in Helsinki, and will visit around 20 major European cities.
On September 2 and 3, the mobile exhibition can be visited at Avenida Brasília 202 in Lisbon, while on September 7 and 8 it will be stationed at Lais de Guia in Porto. Opening hours will be the same for both times: 12pm to 8pm.
