French police seize mobile phones and computers in search for missing couple on island of Madeira

French police have become involved in the latest mystery of missing holidaymakers on the island of Madeira. Laurent Blond, 58 and his wife Véronique, 56, have been missing since Saturday March 16. Intense air, sea and land searches have so far yielded no clues. Now, according to French daily papers, French police have ‘seized mobile phones and computers’ following searches of the couple’s home and the bakery they run back in Beaumont-de-Lomagne, near Toulouse. According to reports, the intention was to discover whether or not the couple was making plans to commit suicide. This does not appear to have been the case – leaving the mystery almost exactly where it was when it began.
