Fresh seafood from the Ria Formosa will be served for 11 days at Festa da Ria Formosa, a gastronomic summer party held every summer at Largo de São Francisco in Faro.
Taking place between Thursday, July 25 and Sunday, August 4, from 7pm to 1am, the event will allow visitors to taste a variety of seafood cooked in “typical and delicious ways at inviting prices”. There will also be live music every day.
The festival is organised by VIVMAR, the association of Ria Formosa shellfish farmers and harvesters, and is backed by the municipal council and parish union of Faro. Admission is free.
