PSP police in Leiria managed to catch a 64-year-old man with a series of criminal offences to his name – for driving without a licence, driving whilst drunk etc – as he attempted to board a bus to France. According to reports, the man has been condemned to jail for a year and four months (for driving with a licence and receiving to take a breath test) but never turned himself in. He fled to France, and then returned “to visit family for a few days”. It was as he attempted to return to France, that police ‘struck’. The man will now be in jail, and may face extra charges now.
