A 48-year-old German woman has fallen to her death from a mountain pass in Madeira. This is the third death of holiday walkers this month. The first – also involving German tourists – claimed the lives of a couple who fell into a wooded ravine.
Last Sunday’s tragedy was in the area of Rabaçal, near Calheta.
According to fire chief João Alegria, the woman was walking with her husband when she fell from a height of 20 metres.
