Goats invade Barreiro cemetery; eat flowers left on graves

Upset has visited Barreiro cemetery in the form of a herd of goats that ‘invaded’ the area, eating not just grass growing between the gravestones, but flowers left by mourners. Visitors to the space filmed the scene last month, uploading it onto social media, indignant that the cemetery had been left without any kind of surveillance. The council has “guaranteed that the case will not be forgotten and measures will be taken”. Some of the possible consequences, reports SIC, is that the goats could be ‘apprehended’ and fines demanded of their owners.
