Good golf is high on the list of priorities for many an expat here in the Algarve. Combine that with good food, great company and the opportunity to help the needy and you have the ingredients for a perfect fundraising event. A golf and charity lunch at 84 Bistro & Wine Bar in Almancil was just that.
The event raised more than €750 for Algarve children’s charity ACCA. Funds will go towards ACCA’s Angels programme in which 1,500 needy children will receive a special Christmas gift.
During the lunch, Lisl Esterl, a Ladies European Tour golfer and past Solheim Cup winner, together with golf pro Neil Webb, delivered an informative talk, entitled ‘Tips from the Tour’, and showcased their range of golf and sports clothing.
