Government improves on ‘repayment terms’ for nation’s State system teachers

Teachers syndicates have succeeded in getting the government to ‘increase’ its proposal for restoring the six years, six months and 23 days, still ‘frozen’ from teachers’ careers within the State system. The latest offer involves ‘recovering 598 days in September, another 598 days next year, 479 in 2026, 359 in 2027 and the final 359 in 2028. National teachers’ federation FENPROF has insisted in the deal being put in writing – but even so suggests it may still be difficult to reach an agreement (various syndicates want the repayment schedule to be ‘much quicker’).
