The Sport Fishing Association of Castro Marim will be holding its 7th International Sport Fishing Competition on the Guadiana River on June 22.
Over 100 fishermen from Portugal and Spain will be taking part and organisers hope the event helps promote the Guadiana as the perfect place for sport fishing enthusiasts.
The competition gets underway at the docks in Vila Real de Santo António and Castro Marim at 8am. Anyone keen to take part can contact the numbers below.
The competition is backed by the Castro Marim borough council and parish council, and the Eurocity of the Guadiana – which incorporates VRSA, Castro Marim and Ayamonte, Spain.
