The two main doctors’ syndicates – SIM (the independent syndicate of doctors) and FNAM (the national federation of doctors) – begin their meetings today with health minister Ana Paula Martins. One of the main points on the agenda will be ‘sorting out grievances’ over pay and conditions that sullied relations with the last government, and led to endless strikes and work to rules.
