Saturday is fast becoming a day of multiple protests: Loures (Greater Lisbon) sees a march “in defence of the SNS” (Portugal’s public health service) organised by health service users who claim they have been forgotten: the situation in Loures Hospital is dire in terms of staffing numbers and material. The protest is calling for more health professionals and the hiring of more GPs.
