Fantastic Things is a family business based in Alvor that will be a godsend for any UK fashion addicts living in Portugal.
Having been visiting Portugal since 2001, Steve Davies, Carole Andrew and her son Sam were told by many friends living in Portugal that they were frustrated with the lack of UK fashion labels in the Algarve.
“They could not buy UK labels without flying back to England with all the hassle that it entails,” says Stephen Davies.
After doing their research, they decided to move to Portugal permanently, where they have established Fantastic Things, a business specialising in selling high street UK clothing labels at bargain prices.
Fantastic Things caters not only to the English expat or holidaymaker looking for a bargain, but also to the Portuguese who seeks out fashionable brands not available in Portugal.
To facilitate business, Fantastic Things decided to set up a mobile shop, where they come seeking the customer instead of the other way around.
They take their collection to hotels, restaurants and country clubs. Their business has thrived in the recent months and Steve plans to expand his stock as soon as possible.
“With such great names as Monsoon, Bay, Next UK and Marks & Spencer, we are confident that the business will continue to thrive and expand,” said Steve Davies.
