Hilton to launch Tempo brand in Portugal with new hotel in Lisbon’s Parque das Nações

Hilton continues to expand in Portugal with a lifestyle hotel set to open in 2027

American company Hilton has announced the debut of its lifestyle brand Tempo by Hilton in Portugal, following a management agreement with Kronos Real Estate Group.

The new hotel, to be named Tempo by Hilton Parque das Nações, will be located in one of Lisbon’s main business and commercial districts and is scheduled to open in 2027.

Designed for the “modern, demanding and wellness-focused traveller”, the hotel will be part of MIMA by Kronos Homes, a new mixed-use development. The project, developed by Broadway Malyan Architects, will feature 142 rooms, along with a fitness centre, restaurant, and bar.

“This announcement marks a significant milestone for us. Not only are we expanding our portfolio in Portugal – currently with 30 hotels in operation or development – we’re also increasing our capacity to respond to growing international demand for cosmopolitan accommodation with the introduction of the Tempo brand,” says Carlos Miro, Hilton’s Managing Director for Hilton in Portugal and Spain. “In 2024, we opened two hotels under the Curio Collection by Hilton brand in Portugal. This year, we will open another Tapestry Collection property in Santiago do Cacém, and in 2026, the Canopy by Hilton will debut in Lisbon. Thus, I’m very happy to now add Tempo by Hilton to our lifestyle offerings in the Portuguese capital,” he adds.

The hotel will be part of MIMO, which marks Kronos Homes’ first mixed-use project in Portugal, bringing together housing, serviced apartments and a hotel. “This partnership with such a world-famous brand is a source of great pride for us, and we believe this hotel will bring added sophistication, value and dynamism to a project that is already prepared to become a new urban landmark in one of Lisbon’s most sought-after and iconic areas – Parque das Nações,” says Rui Meneses Ferreira, Partner and CEO at Kronos Homes.

The hotel will join Hilton’s expanding Portuguese portfolio, which includes over 30 hotels in operation and development, including recent additions such as DUO Hotel Lisbon and the Cenica Porto Hotel, both part of the Curio Collection by Hilton.
