33-year-old repeatedly stabbed on way to work
A 33-year-old man escaped with his life following an horrific attack in Moita this week, a municipality within the Lisbon Metropolitan area.
The young man was attacked from behind by a hooded assailant, who put him in a choke hold, before stabbing him repeatedly in the chest and arms.
As the victim fell to the ground, his attacker rifled through his clothes, taking only his cellphone, before making off.
The young man managed to take a few steps to the doorway of a house where he encountered people who immediately called police/ emergency firefighters.
The victim was stablised by first responders, and transported to Barreiro Hospital.
PSP police now have another crime to investigate. There is no mention in press reports of any CCTV camera footage being available.
The attack happened around 6am on Tuesday in Baixa da Banheira, Moita, at the crossroads between Ruas Marechal Humberto Delgado and Francisco Miguel.
