The number of hotels for sale in Portugal increased by 31% in the first quarter compared to the same period in 2023, with 1,038 on the market, mainly concentrated in the Faro, Lisbon and Porto regions, according to analysis released today. According to the conclusions of a study on the hotel market nationally, developed by European real estate data platform Casafari, hotels have an average price per square metre (m2) of €3,319, up 18% from €2,818 in the same period last year. As for hotels to rent, these totalled 62 in the first quarter of 2024, up 48% on the 42 recorded in the first three months of 2023, with Faro, Lisbon and Porto regions once more standing out as the regions with the highest number of hotels for rent (11, 18 and 10, respectively).
