“Significant milestone” in unit’s expansion process
The HPA Gambelas private hospital in Faro has been accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) for the third consecutive time.
Described as “one of the most prestigious global certification bodies in the clinical and non-clinical areas”, the JCI accreditation process is “highly rigorous and requires the evaluation of over 1,300 parameters in areas as diverse as infection control, medical and surgical care, customer service, organizational management, and patient safety”.
“This reaccreditation reinforces the position of Hospital Particular do Algarve – Gambelas as the safest and highest quality healthcare institution in the region, offering its patients a modern structure, with diversified services and a team of highly qualified professionals committed to excellence in care,” the HPA hospital group says in a statement to the press.
The group adds that the accreditation represents a “significant milestone in the unit’s expansion process, which recently expanded its service offerings, always maintaining a focus on the safety and well-being of its patients.
“The distinction confirms that, in addition to offering specialised and differentiated medical care, the hospital follows the best management models, with organisational and leadership practices fundamentally focused on patient safety,” it adds.
On a closing note, HPA says this international recognition “not only consolidates HPA Gambelas’ position at the forefront of private healthcare in Portugal but also highlights its strategic importance in the Algarve region.”
