In spite of police unions saying they would not be responding to CHEGA’s request for an ‘en masse’ presence in parliament today, hundreds of off duty police agents turned up to hear CHEGA’s proposal for resolving the current conflict over the risk subsidy, many of them ‘denied’ entry by dint of the time it took to pass them all through. CHEGA’s proposal is unlikely to be approved, meaning that on the day the Council of Ministers announced 60 measures to ‘kick start’ the national economy, police agents will be ‘going home’ once again without answers to deep-seated problems.
