GNR police have shut down an illegal casino that was being run in a warehouse in Olhão.
The operation was carried out last weekend and saw over €50,000 confiscated and 12 people named official suspects (‘arguidos’). Nine are accused of illegal gambling and three of exploration of illegal gambling and tax fraud.
A variety of gambling items were also seized following six searches carried out by the fiscal division of the GNR police.
