Immigration data about to have “very significant upward revision”

In an interview on Antena 1’s ‘Política com Assinatura’ programme, Minister for the Presidency António Leitão Amaro did not spare any criticism of PS leader Pedro Nuno Santo (and others in oppposition), and provided relevant data on immigration in Portugal, which will undergo a “very significant” upward revision. “In the coming weeks there will be a very significant revision of the figures, of the residence permits applied for and issued”, he said. And this updated data should “form the basis of a discussion about capacity and how public services are responding”, as well as the response of the economy.
