I am addressing my complaint to you as Empark (Faro Airport parking management) is not responding at all.
On June 26, I was at Faro Airport to collect my daughter. I had parked my car on P2 ‘Curta Duração’.
Upon return, I wanted to pay (€1.70) with Maestro card, which is nowadays a standard payment method. I inserted my card and PIN code, but payment failed. OK, I cancelled the transaction because other people were waiting. I gathered some coins, re-inserted my parking ticket and … suddenly the rate was €2.55! An increase of €0.85 within not even two minutes! I do not think this payment process is correct, and even bite my lips not to use the word ‘ridiculous’…
That is not good advertising for the Algarve.
I hope I was able to draw your attention to this issue. Maybe it will help other future guests at the airport.
