A row has erupted between the Order of Nurses and INEM rescue technicians that threatens to develop into strike action. Nurses are against ‘new competences’ due to be awarded INEM staff which they feel prejudice doctors and nurses, writes Correio da Manhã. Nursing order chief Ana Rita Cavaco says nurses are prepared to drive ambulances if the strike goes ahead. The issue will be up for discussion at the Council of Ministers on Thursday.
