After the January jump (to 2.3%), inflation in Portugal has receded once again, with INE statistic institute’s flash estimate for February coming in at 2.1%. It does not mean that prices have stopped rising, simply that they are rising less markedly – and, ‘even so’ (as some reports stress), the rate is higher than it was in the final months of 2023.
