Help clean the beaches of Vale do Lobo, Garrão Nascente, and Garrão Poente
To mark National Sea Day, Infralobo and Vale do Lobo, in collaboration with Associação Vita Nativa, will host a special event dedicated to cleaning our beaches on Thursday, November 21.
The beach clean-up, running from 9.30am to 1pm, aims to promote environmental awareness and bring the local community together.
This year, the beach clean-up will see the participation of 118 students from Almancil School Group, aged 14 to 16.
The Vita Nativa Association, a non-profit organisation dedicated to environmental conservation, will be on hand to support participants and share valuable tips, along with fun and educational insights about environmental preservation.
The meeting point will be the Vale do Lobo Praça beach complex, where residents, visitors, and the local community will have the opportunity to “join in an exploratory walk, helping clean and maintain the stunning beaches of Vale do Lobo, Garrão Nascente, and Garrão Poente”.
“The resort’s beaches, stretching over three kilometres, boast unique natural beauty, featuring golden sands and iconic ochre cliffs. By contributing to the preservation of this ecosystem through the collection of litter and waste, this initiative will help restore the beach’s natural balance, benefiting everyone,” say organisers.
Participation in this initiative is free, however, for better operational management and insurance purposes, prior registration on the Eventbrite platform is required. All volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, bring a hat, sunscreen, and water.
