The Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into the death of Teo Nascimento, a two-year-old who died at home a day and a half after visiting the emergency department at Hospital Dona Estefânia in Lisbon.
Diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis without severe symptoms, he was sent home after treatment. His condition worsened, leading to his tragic death at his home in Prior Velho, Loures, on Friday.
