Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris will be among the stars looking to raise money for a good cause in the Algarve
Iron Maiden’s star bassist Steve Harris will play in a charity football match this Saturday (June 15) at the Algarve Stadium.
Harris, 68, made the announcement in a short video posted on the iconic heavy metal band’s social media pages.
“It’s for underprivileged children in Portugal, it’s a really good cause,” the English musician says in the video.
Tickets cost just €2.50, with all revenue going to help institutions that support underpriviliged children.
The match will see the Play4 Children team – which features several former Portuguese players such as Ricardo Quaresma, Tiago Mendes, Costinha, Danny and many others – face Rangers FC Legends.
Festivities will begin at the stadium at 3pm, with kick-off scheduled for 8.30pm.
