Italian painter Silvio Porzionato unveils exclusive new artworks at ArtCatto

Work is the result of the artist’s passion for Renaissance art

Silvio Porzionato will be showcasing his work once again in the Algarve in early April. This time, the painter will be presenting his new Blueseries collection, the result of his passion for Renaissance art.

Inspired by the sculptures of the Masters at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Silvio says he felt compelled to “paint them in [his] own way” and provide a new perspective on their works. Renowned for his works in vibrant colours, the painter chose to use only blue for this new series.

“Monochromatism allows the focus to be on the painting as a whole rather than on a single point,” he explains. By combining the figurative with the abstract, Silvio creates an image that can capture different angles, allowing the audience to appreciate multiple perspectives of the sculptures he chose for this new series.

Silvio Porzionato has already displayed his work in some of the world’s best-known art spaces and now he is bringing new and exclusive artworks to the ArtCatto gallery in Loulé.
