FIFA, the international football governing body, has officially confirmed Portugal, Spain and Morocco as the co-hosts of the 2030 World Cup.
The announcement at the FIFA Congress this Wednesday was a mere formality as the three-country joint bid was the only one presented.
The opening three matches of the tournament will take place in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.
Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup, it was also confirmed.
