Alda Filipe becomes first woman in Portugal appointed to Kronos Real Estate Group’s committee of partners
Kronos Real Estate Group, one of the main players in the Iberian real estate market, has announced the appointment of Alda Filipe to its committee of partners. She becomes the first woman in Portugal, and the second in all of the Iberian Peninsula, to take on the role of partner with the firm.
Alda Filipe, who also serves as the Group’s Regional Director and Board Member for the Algarve’s prestigious Vale do Lobo resort, brings a wealth of commercial experience to the role.
Her 25-year career has seen Alda Filipe serve as the driving force behind the transformation of a series of luxury resorts in the Algarve. Mostly recently, she has led the brand repositioning of Vale do Lobo, including strategic investment in a range of new facilities and the creation of an exciting new real estate offering.
Prior to her most recent work at Vale do Lobo since joining Kronos Homes in 2019, Alda Filipe has overseen iconic and pioneering assets including Palmares Ocean Living & Golf and Amendoeira Golf Resort. Her initiatives have catapulted such resorts onto the international stage while positioning Kronos as the standard for luxury and innovation in the Iberian market.
Now taking on an even greater strategic role as partner, Alda will be ideally positioned to reinforce the Kronos Group’s vision for sustainable and innovative growth in developing, managing and investing in real estate assets in Spain and Portugal.
With a 25-year career in the real estate sector, Alda is also the first Regional Director to reach this position within the Group

Kronos Homes’ performance in the Algarve
Kronos Homes recorded €140 million in real estate unit sales between 2023 and 2024 in the Algarve, with €100 million secured in Vale do Lobo, where 30% of transactions were by clients who already had investments in the resort. A clear signal from the market regarding the new strategic positioning. These results are proof of the attractiveness and quality of Kronos Homes’ developments in the region, consolidating its position in the luxury market.
Kronos Homes’ portfolio in the Algarve has been significantly strengthened since 2023 with the acquisition of a vast collection of real estate and tourism assets through the consortium led by Davidson Kempner. Among the assets, mostly located in the Algarve, Vale do Lobo stands out with the resort the target of considerable investment in the last two years. New tennis and padel courts, the opening of three new restaurants and infrastructure improvements reflect the group’s strategic repositioning and long-term vision for the legendary resort.
Outlook for 2025
2025 will see the much-anticipated launch of The Residences Vale do Lobo, the first new Vale do Lobo-branded development in the resort more than two decades, consisting of 44 luxury units.
