The three-day event will feature musical performances from Cuba, Japan, Switzerland and more.

The riverside Sítio das Fontes Municipal Park in Estômbar is once again the chosen venue for the Lagoa Jazz Fest. Held on July 19, 20 and 21, the 19th edition of the musical festival will feature three days of fantastic jazz performances in a unique natural setting.

This year’s line-up includes a wide range of high-quality projects showcasing different styles and jazz instrumentations, from traditional to cutting-edge: Harp, Koto, Harmonica, Cimbalom, Bandoneon, Vibraphone, and many others.

On July 19, Brazilian singer Lilian Raquel performs with Cláudio César Ribeiro while the Eduardo Cardinho Sextet takes the stage for the second part.

The following day, on July 20, the Swiss/Portuguese duo Michael Arbenz and Ricardo Toscano perform, followed by the Spanish quartet Andrés Barrios.

To close this year’s edition, on July 21, international acts The Cuban Cello/Piano Project and Japanese musician Toku will take the stage for a grand finale.

The Lagoa Jazz Fest is organised by the Municipality of Lagoa in collaboration with Joaquim Andrés and António Palma (curator and creative director). Since its first edition in 2003, the event has welcomed great talents, and more than 250 musicians from all over the world have participated.

The venue features a lounge area with comfortable seating, street food stalls, musical entertainment, an art exhibition, and merchandising.

Doors open at 19h00 and close at 01h00. Concerts are scheduled to start at 22h00.
