The “Fados and Portuguese Songs” concert will be held at the Convento de São José Cultural Centre.

As part of the fifth edition of the “ConVento Levante” cycle, the cultural association Ideias do Levante is organising “Fados and Portuguese Songs”, a tribute concert by Carla Pontes (soprano) and Tiago Morna (guitarist).

The performance is scheduled for November 10 at 17h00 at the Cultural Center of Convento São José in Lagoa.

According to the production, “The concert is a tribute to Fado composers and lyricists and Portuguese song. It is also a tribute to the great voice of Fado, Amália Rodrigues, who passed away 25 years ago”.

The iconic Fado singer’s songs will be interpreted from a lyrical singing perspective by the versatile soprano Carla Pontes, accompanied by Tiago Morna on Portuguese guitar.
