Lagoa reviews “outdated” PDM

Lagoa council has unanimously approved a proposal put forward to revise its “outdated” municipal plan (PDM).

The announcement came on March 5, two days after the council’s decision.

In an official statement, it agreed the current PDM is “obsolete” and negatively affects the way the municipality manages its land.

It is also pointed out that the validity of Lagoa’s PDM expired over a decade ago.

In fact, the council reveals that apart from a few changes brought in to accommodate PROTAL, the region’s masterplan, and other municipal directives, the jist of the PDM has remained the same for the last 20 years.

Lagoa’s news follows the announcement by Lagos council – the only borough in Portugal without a PDM – that a municipal plan could at last be just “months away” (see story https://www.portugalresident.com/lagos%E2%80%99-municipal-plan-%E2%80%9Ccould-be-just-months-away%E2%80%9D)
