Lagoa road programme

Almost one million euros has recently been invested by the Câmara Municipal de Lagoa in the Alporchinos/Lombos road, which will complete the intermunicipal Silves/Albufeira/Lagoa road. According to information from Lagoa Câmara, the road will be extended by 2,460 metres and work should be completed within six months. “This is an important move by the Câmara Municipal de Lagoa, especially taking into account the rise in population in the area, and the high number of second homes and holiday villas in the zone,” explained a local administrator. “Porches freguesia, where this work will be taking place, is a sought-after area in terms of tourism industry and already contains some of the most prosperous tourist developments in the region.”
