Lagoa warns public to stay off electrified Arade railway bridge

The municipal council of Lagoa has launched a serious warning prohibiting all access by pedestrians to the railway bridge connecting Portimão and Lagoa over the Arade River.

As part of the electrification of the Lagos-Tunes rail line, the railway bridge is now electrified and poses a “real risk of death,” the council warns. However, despite repeated warnings, unauthorised crossings continue, it adds.
