A guided tour of Lagos Zoo and a ‘Cãominhada’ dog walk will take place in Lagos to mark World Animal Day on October 4.
The guided tour of the zoo will begin at 5.30pm and cost €8, with proceeds going to local animal association Cadela Carlota & Companhia to help sterilise stray animals.
The association will also be hosting a ‘Cãominhada’ dog walk on the same day. People can take along their own dog or offer to walk one of the many dogs in the association’s care.
Owners are asked to bring their dog’s vaccination record to participate in the walk, which will begin at 10am at Praça do Infante.
There is no need to sign up for the walk although those interested in taking part in the guided tour should contact Lagos Zoo.
